How a stay works

From the call to the go-home session.

Exactly what happens, in order, when your dog does a board and train with Seth. No surprises.

1

The free phone assessment

It starts with a direct call with Seth. He listens to what is happening, asks about your dog’s history, finds the root cause and recommends the right program. If a shorter or cheaper option is the right fit, he will say so.

No cost, no obligation. Request it online or call or text 281-318-1296.

2

Book the dates

Only a limited number of dogs live in the home at once, so programs are booked ahead. Seth confirms your start date, what to bring and anything specific to your dog.

Fall spots fill fast.

3

Drop-off day, or door-to-door pick-up

Bring your dog to Cypress, or add the $250 transportation service and Seth’s team collects your dog from your home. Most dogs settle into the household within the first day.

Transport home is included in VIP.

4

Living and learning in Seth’s home

Not a kennel. Your dog lives in the house, learns place while dinner is cooked, waits at real doors, and trains every day on a program customized to them.

Structured socialization with a few well-managed dogs, not a free-for-all.

5

Updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Professional photo and video updates three times a week so you see the progress as it happens. Questions in between get a quick reply by text.

Families say the communication is the part they didn’t expect.

6

Field trips and real-world exposure

Pet stores, sidewalks, parks, the lake. Calm, neutral behavior around dogs, people and distractions is built where life actually happens. (Platinum and VIP.)

Reactive dogs practice calm around real triggers, every day.

7

The go-home session

Seth demonstrates everything your dog learned, hands you the leash and coaches you through it: commands, leash handling, place at your door, what to do when the dog tests it. In VIP, this happens in your home after Seth transports your dog back.

You leave knowing exactly how to keep the results.

8

Follow-up lessons and lifetime support

Gold includes an additional lesson and lifelong support. Platinum includes unlimited private lessons. VIP includes unlimited in-home lessons directly with Seth. If something slips, book early and it is fixed fast.

Graduates can also board with Seth, with training refreshers during the stay.

Day one to go-home

You see it happen. Three updates a week, with video.

Arrival day, the first place command, the first calm walk past another dog, the field trips. Families watch the transformation as it happens, then learn to keep it in the go-home session.

Questions

Booking and logistics.

What should I bring for a board and train?

Your dog’s regular food (enough for the stay, plus a little extra), any medications with instructions, current vaccination records, and a collar with ID. Seth will confirm the full list and answer anything specific to your dog when you book.

How do I book?

Every program starts with a free phone assessment. Request it through the form, or call or text 281-318-1296. Seth listens, asks questions, and recommends the right program. Spots are limited because only a few dogs are in the home at once, so booking ahead is a good idea.

Is the free assessment really free?

Yes. No cost, no obligation. It’s a direct call with Seth to understand your dog’s behavior, find the root cause and recommend the right path, whether that is board and train, private lessons or the puppy bundle.

Do you offer boarding for graduates?

Yes. Returning clients can board their dog with Seth, and he runs training refreshers during the stay so the skills stay sharp. Ask about availability when you book.

Where does my dog stay during a board and train?

In Seth’s home in Cypress, not a warehouse or kennel. That in-home environment is the point: real-world training in everyday settings, so the results transfer to your home.

Who actually trains my dog?

Seth Purdom, personally. Over 16 years of hands-on experience and more than 900 dogs trained. Best Dog University keeps a limited number of dogs at a time so every program stays customized.

Will I hear from you while my dog is away?

Yes. Professional photo and video updates go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so you see the progress as it happens.

What happens when the program ends?

A go-home session where you’re shown exactly how to maintain and build on the results. After that, follow-up lessons and lifetime support. Platinum includes unlimited private lessons; VIP includes unlimited in-home lessons.
