Our Free-Style Board & Train program is a two-week immersive training experience designed for dogs who already have a foundation in basic obedience and are ready to shine with fun, engaging skills.
This program focuses on building advanced skills such as paw, spin, twirl, weave, and center, while strengthening your dog’s focus, responsiveness, and overall engagement. Throughout their stay, your dog develops greater confidence and connection with their handler, and training remains fun and rewarding.
Every session is customized to your dog’s personality and drive, so a shy dog builds confidence at their pace and a high-drive dog gets a productive outlet for all that energy.
At the end of the program you’ll get a go-home session so you can keep building skills, and keep the engagement, at home.

Not a kennel. Your dog lives and stays in Seth’s home and trains in everyday environments, on a program customized to them.

Where does my dog stay during a board and train?
In Seth’s home in Cypress, not a warehouse or kennel. That in-home environment is the point: real-world training in everyday settings, so the results transfer to your home.
Who actually trains my dog?
Seth Purdom, personally. Over 16 years of hands-on experience and more than 900 dogs trained. Best Dog University keeps a limited number of dogs at a time so every program stays customized.
Will I hear from you while my dog is away?
Yes. Professional photo and video updates go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so you see the progress as it happens.
What happens when the program ends?
A go-home session where you’re shown exactly how to maintain and build on the results. After that, follow-up lessons and lifetime support. Platinum includes unlimited private lessons; VIP includes unlimited in-home lessons.
Do you offer pick-up and drop-off?
Yes. The $250 transportation service picks your dog up from home, returns them when the program is complete, and includes the first lesson in your home. Transport home is already included in the VIP program.
What if my dog only needs a refresher?
The 1-Week Silver Foundation Program is a short-term introduction focused on basic structure and foundational obedience. Seth will tell you on the free call if it’s the right fit, or if your dog needs the time and repetition of a longer program.
